Tonsillitis Treatment for Children

Does your child snore at night? Do you observe voice change in your child? Is your child not able to eat properly? If the answer to these questions is yes, then best get an ENT surgeon to examine the throat. It might be a case of tonsillitis. If the tonsillitis and adenoids get infected, it leads to fever, throat pain, neck pain, and trouble in swallowing. Observe whether your child is having a regular tonsillitis problem or not. If it is regular, it indicates a problem with chronic tonsillitis. In the initial stage, you can control tonsillitis in your child by administering antibiotics from your GP and painkillers. However, in case of recurrent tonsillitis, the only permanent treatment is to remove the tonsillitis and adenoids.

As your ENT surgeon in Milton Keynes, I provide tonsillitis diagnosis, treatment, and surgery services. After due surgical and medical assessment using technical equipment recommended for specialists, I can arrange the right type of surgery for you if required.

I provide this service at BMI The Saxon Clinic (ENT hospital in Milton Keynes). The surgery is relatively painless using newer techniques such as coblation tonsillectomy –  which is a fully bloodless surgery.

Therefore, please contact myself as your ENT consultant to discuss treatment plans to deal with tonsillitis issues your child may be having. I will perform your child’s surgery discharge your child on the same day (daycase surgery). In the vast majority of cases, an overnight stay is not required, although if needed, surgery would take place elsewhere (a NHS facility).

BMI The Saxon Clinic as a super-speciality hospital has everything to offer, and meets expectations by patients. Be it the latest technology, or an experienced ear nose and throat specialist surgeon, you would get all the necessary facilities at The Saxon Clinic, your ENT clinic for Northamptonshire.
